Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These terms set out the agreement between you and us when you buy a day pass or take out a membership at Neighbourhood Coworking. Please read them alongside our house rules, which form part of this agreement.

1. About us

Neighbourhood Coworking is a trading name of Good Not Lucky Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15480929), registered office 48 High Lea Road, New Mills, High Peak, SK22 3DP.

The coworking space is at 14 High Street, New Mills. You can reach us through our contact form.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Good Not Lucky Ltd trading as Neighbourhood Coworking, and "you" means the person who books a day pass or holds a membership.

2. Your agreement with us

Your agreement with us starts when we confirm your booking or membership, and is made up of:

Your membership gives you a licence to use the space alongside other members. It does not give you exclusive use of any part of the building, or any tenancy or lease.

3. What we offer

OptionWhat it includes
Day passA hot desk for one day, during opening hours
Full membershipRegular agreed days each week, day swaps, access to the community, member perks and day passes at a discounted rate
Casual membershipNo regular days. Access to the community, member perks and day passes at a discounted rate

Full membership is sold by the number of days per week you agree with us, for example one day a week or three days a week. Your agreed days are confirmed when you sign up.

Casual members book and pay for each day separately at the discounted rate. The membership fee is payable whether or not you book any days in a given period.

Our current prices are published on our website. Prices include VAT where applicable, and the price that applies to you is the one shown when you book or sign up.

4. Booking and access

The space is open from 08:00 to 18:00 on Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays.

Day passes and casual member days are booked through our website and are subject to availability. Full members do not need to book their agreed days.

Access is through our smart lock system. Your access is set up when your membership or booking is confirmed, and is personal to you. Please don't share your access with anyone else or let anyone into the space who isn't a member or day pass holder.

We may need to change opening hours from time to time. We'll give you as much notice as we reasonably can.

5. Day swaps for full members

If you can't use one of your agreed days, you can swap it for another day. As a guide, you can swap up to the number of days you have each week, per month, so a two-day membership allows up to two swaps a month. If you need more than that, ask us and we'll help where we can.

Swap requests must be submitted by 12pm two days before the day you want to swap, except when you're unwell, when you can request a same-day swap. Submit a request through our day swap form.

If one of your agreed days falls on a bank holiday, you can swap it for another day. We'll email you in advance to remind you.

All swaps are subject to availability, must be arranged in advance, and can't be claimed after the day has passed.

6. Payment

Payments are taken by card or direct debit through our payment provider. We don't see or store your full card details.

  • Day passes are paid for when you book.

  • Full membership is paid for the first period when you sign up, then monthly by subscription on each renewal date.

  • Casual membership is paid for the first period when you sign up, then every three months by subscription on each renewal date.

If a subscription payment fails, our payment provider will try again automatically and we'll get in touch to sort it out. We don't charge late payment fees, but we may suspend your access until payment is made.

Price changes

We may change our prices. We'll give you at least one month's notice before a change affects your membership. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Day passes can be cancelled for a full refund up to 48 hours before the booked date. After that, the booking is non-refundable.

Memberships run on a rolling basis with no minimum term and no notice period. You can cancel online via our billing portal or by email at any time up to the moment your subscription renews. Your membership then runs to the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part-used periods.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including any right to cancel within 14 days of signing up.

8. Ending your membership

We may end your membership by giving you one month's notice, and will refund any period you've paid for beyond that.

We may suspend or end your membership immediately if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or our house rules, or if your behaviour puts other members or the space at risk. In that case we won't refund the remainder of the period. In any other circumstances, refunds are at our discretion.

When your membership ends, your access to the space and the Wi-Fi is removed.

9. Using the space

Our house rules form part of these terms and cover how we expect everyone to behave and look after the space. Repeatedly breaking them can lead to your membership being ended, as set out in section 8.

In particular:

  • No guests. Children, pets and visitors aren't allowed in the space. Anyone who wants to work here can book a day pass.

  • Back-to-back meeting days. Occasional calls are fine, but please don't use the space on days when you're in meetings all day.

  • Wi-Fi. Our network must not be used for anything unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, abusive or obscene. Crypto mining is not allowed. We may ask you to stop if you use an unreasonable amount of bandwidth.

  • No smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs in the space or directly outside it.

You're responsible for any damage you cause to the space or its equipment, beyond fair wear and tear.

10. Post, deliveries and business addresses

We can't accept parcels or post on your behalf, and you may not use 14 High Street as your business, trading or registered company address.

11. Your belongings and insurance

We don't provide storage or lockers, and belongings are left in the space at your own risk. Please take your things with you at the end of the day.

We hold public liability insurance for the space. You are responsible for insuring your own equipment and belongings, and for any insurance your own work requires, including professional indemnity or public liability cover where relevant.

12. Our liability

We'll take reasonable care to provide the space and services described in these terms, but:

  • we're not responsible for loss or damage to your property, including theft, unless it's caused by our negligence;

  • we're not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost data;

  • we're not responsible for interruptions to the Wi-Fi, power, heating or access that are outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

13. Closures

We are closed on weekends and bank holidays. Full members can swap an agreed day that falls on a bank holiday, as set out in section 5.

If we have to close the space unexpectedly, for example for maintenance or an emergency, we'll let you know as soon as we can and offer affected members a credit or refund for the days lost.

14. Referrals

If someone you refer joins as a member and tells us you sent them, we'll send you a gift voucher as set out in our membership onboarding emails. Vouchers are issued once the new member has signed up, at our discretion, and we may change or withdraw the scheme at any time.

15. Your information

We handle your personal information as described in our privacy policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects your membership, we'll give you at least one month's notice. The current version is always on our website, with the date it was last updated at the top.

17. General

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

You may not transfer your membership or access to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, and will tell you if we do.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
